Welcome!

This is the beginning of an ongoing, online painting performance that incorporates your creative interaction into its potentially endless mutations. The ever-expanding work will exist in its totality here online, as well as in the individual interpretative paintings (each 1’ x 2’) as seen in slideshow here.

The work will exist both virtually and physically. The actual paintings are interpretations of the designs we created on computer, and eventually you will be able to add your own creations online.

Each “canvas” of the online work is designed to have matching endpoints, so that no matter how you decide to display the canvases, they will fit together perfectly. You will be able to create the design of your paintings and also select your palette. You can arrange your virtual paintings within the ever-changing larger work, and commission the actual physical representations, that will be painted based on your designs. Your set (consisting of at least 3 canvases) will then exist within the larger work online, and you have the set of paintings, a piece of the whole. With your collaboration the work will grow, as new designs are added and new paintings created, and a numbering system will enable you to always locate your paintings within the online work.

This is a work in (very slow) progress. At present it is only a preview of what the work is going to be someday. We are working to have an online version in the (we hope) in the not-too-distant future. And then, we will continually work to improve the online component with expanded functionality, to keep it interesting and challenging.

For now, enjoy a slideshow of the start of the online work and some of the first canvases arranged in a variety of ways.
