Across the board cross platform capabilities are a pipe dream for the time being. This came to me after carefully constructing my web page in terms of aesthetics (size and colors of the frames had to look just right) on my PowerMac with a 15" monitor. And then I go look at my page on a friends IBM with a 14" monitor and the proportions are all skewed, and the colors look horrible. So, the question becomes, do I care? It looks great on mine, but I would also like it to look good for you on your computer as well. As of now, I'm still tinkering and figuring out cross platform colors and such. And then it comes to me, different browsers do not display pages the same way. For instance, for awhile, Netscape was the only browser that displayed frames without borders, so if you didn't have it, you were not getting the viewing experience I was. Currently several browsers show frames (although, i don't mind supporting Netscape over Microsoft, get Netscape Communicator now). In any case, the representation of pages is a varied experience and looks to continue to be so.
