Texting

The text of hypertext on the web has a couple of levels. First off, there is the HTML source page that can be viewed via the menu bar (under View, look at Frame Source). This HTML text looks different then the text displayed with your browser. The text you see via a browser is following the mark up protocol and displaying the page accordingly. So, on this page you have the proper spacing, font sizes and background for the page. And then you can print out versions of either of these texts, source or displayed, and that is yet another layer of text. From digital, where it is meant to be, to paper, where it is also readable, but lost from the screen of the computer. The levels of textuality all add into the experience of the web pages.
