Not Yahoo, or Association Part 2

But as you can obviously see, that link did not take you to the Yahoo! main page, instead it brought you here. The association between the two pages is more abstract than concrete, but it still has makes some sort of sense. Here I am arguing about the nature of links and I make one to show that links can at time be somewhat random. Bingo! You have an association between the two pages via their link. Now, if you really want to go to Yahoo!, click here. In this process of linking, the connotations that links can have can be very practical and concrete or they can be rather obtuse and abstract, either way it's through the associations that you get some sense of how and why these two pages are linked together and what that may mean.
